Andrew Salmon – executive head of investments and advice Andrew joined acsis in April 2008. He has extensive investment experience and has an in-depth understanding of the fund management and broader investment industry. This has seen him manage a research process, research and analyse local and international companies and fund managers, as well as manage pension funds and various unit trusts. Prior to joining acsis, he was one of the founding directors of Coronation Fund Managers and the previous head of STANLIB International. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree.

Tracy Burton – senior investment analyst Tracy joined acsis in August 2007as an investment analyst specialising in local and global fixed interest, asset class and investment process research. She subsequently assumed responsibility for the listed property sector as well. As from 1 July 2009, her role at acsis changed and her new focus is equity research. Tracy has extensive financial services experience. Prior to joining acsis, she was employed at Futuregrowth Asset Management where she was responsible for managing an asset liability matched funds, passive inflation-linked and nominal bond funds as well as asset selection and dealing for the money market portfolios. Tracy also has institutional experience after being employed at Alexander Forbes as an Actuarial Specialist Consultant. During this time, she valued retirement fund liabilities, calculated post-retirement medical aid liabilities, individual member calculations and provided advice in these areas. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Port Elizabeth. She is a CFA charter holder and a member of The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. |

Cobie Legrange – investment analyst Cobie joined acsis in 2005. He monitors and analyses developments in the retail and institutional investment environments, in addition to consulting with clients on the implementation and performance of their investment strategies. Prior to joining acsis, he worked in the multi-manager environment with both PSG and mCubed Asset Management. At mCubed, Cobie specialised in small caps and fixed interest. Prior to that, he held a position in the investment team at PSG Escher investments where he fulfilled a quantitative and research role. Cobie holds an undergraduate degree equivalent in marketing from the IMM Graduate School of Marketing. Subsequent to post graduate research work in advertising, Cobie obtained an MBA from the University of Hull in the UK. |

Barry van Zyl – investment analyst Barry joined acsis in August 2003. He is responsible for researching South African and international alternative investment strategies and all aspects of investment modelling and data management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science and an honours degree in Financial Risk Management (cum laude). These courses both incorporate a high level of mathematical statistics on time series analysis and probability theory.

Michael Dodd – investment analyst Michael joined acsis in February 2008. His role includes fixed interest manager research, investment modelling, quantitative work and data management. Prior to joining acsis, Michael was employed as a futures trader at Met Traders. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree with Honours in Actuarial Science and Finance. Michael is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and is currently pursuing his CFA accreditation.
